# Release Notes for MultiPortal 1.2.0 **Release Version:** 1.2.0 **Release Date:** June 29, 2026 MultiPortal 1.2.0 is a feature release that brings finer control over storage and virtual disk performance, support for QinQ network import, full white-label branding for your portal, and a wide range of reliability, security, and usability improvements. ## What's New ### Storage Policy and Virtual Disk Properties Tune disk-level settings such as cache mode, IO threads, AIO mode, discard, SSD emulation, and SCSI controller directly from storage policies and per virtual disk, with validation and clear warnings when a setting doesn't suit a configuration. ### QinQ Network Import Import QinQ (802.1ad) zones and VNets from your Proxmox SDN, with a guided wizard to discover and validate zones, and assign them to resellers or tenants as standard external networks. ### White-label Branding Customise your portal's visual identity at the service provider, reseller, and tenant level, including brand colours, fonts, logo and favicon, login page configuration, and custom domains with SSL. ### File-level Restore Tenants can now self-service the restore of individual files from their backups, using Proxmox's file-level restore capability, without needing to restore an entire machine. ## Security and Access - **Stronger tenant data isolation.** Resources now stay correctly scoped to the tenant they belong to across the portal, closing paths where information could be viewed outside its intended scope. - **Template sharing scoped correctly.** Sharing a converted VM template now applies only to the intended scope, rather than being exposed more widely within a data centre. - **Improved single sign-on (SAML) reliability.** SP-initiated login has been hardened, including correct role assignment for newly provisioned users. - **Service Provider login isolation.** Service Provider administration can be restricted to its own dedicated login URL. - **Single session per user.** A single active session per user can now be enforced. ## Reliability and Performance - **Usage synchronisation.** Usage synchronisation is now faster and more reliable for larger environments, so usage data keeps pace with your reporting intervals. - **Reporting efficiency.** Reduced resource consumption when generating reports, and pay-as-you-go usage history is now retained after a virtual machine is deleted, so past usage stays available for billing and review. - **Storage usage accuracy.** Storage usage now totals correctly on VDC summaries, multiple storage policies are no longer added together incorrectly, and total ISO storage usage is reported accurately. A VDC storage policy can now be removed after disk migration between Proxmox storages, and VDC deletion no longer stalls part-way through. ## Bug Fixes - Cloned virtual machines are now correctly assigned to the VDC you select. - Resolved an error when selecting a virtual machine that had no storage configured. - An internal network can no longer be removed from a VDC while virtual machines are still attached to it. - Clearer, more accurate status messages when shutting a VM down from the VDC view. - Duplicate virtual machine names within the same VDC are now prevented. - More reliable VM hardware editing, removing false "insufficient storage" errors when deleting a volume, adding a network interface, or resizing a disk. - You can now change the "start on boot" setting of a virtual machine. - ISOs shared as public are now visible to tenant administrators. - A warning icon now flags storage policies that have no ISO-capable storage assigned. - Improved checks when uploading ISOs. - Resolved an error log download issue affecting some clients. ## API and Integrations - **Per-NIC networking for create-from-template.** The create-from-template API now supports per-network-interface configuration and correctly applies IP, nameserver, and search-domain settings. - **License check-in.** License check-in now reports the current version. - **API connection validation.** Validation now alerts you if you save API settings before testing the connection. ## Additional Improvements - **Community edition limits removed.** Restrictions on the number of resellers, tenants, and VDCs have been removed. The 4-socket and feature restrictions remain. - **Japanese language support.** Added Japanese as a supported portal language. - **Interface refinements.** A range of interface and dark-mode improvements across the portal. ## Upgrade Notes - This release includes automatic database migrations. Please take a backup of your database prior to upgrading; the migration will run as part of the standard upgrade procedure. - We recommend reviewing the documentation for any features new to your environment, particularly the storage policy disk properties and QinQ network import, before rolling them out in production.
